One more term added to the dictionary of pollutions, The Genetic Pollution or Genetic Contamination. The term was popularized by environmentalist Jeremy Rifkin in his 1998 book The Biotech Century. Genetic Contamination or Pollution can be described as the serious side effects  that may occur due the unintentional process of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) dispersing their genes into the natural environment by cross breeding with wild plants or animals in the nature.

Dangers Behind Genetic Contamination:

The dangers behind Genetic contamination cannot be explained with one or two posts. I feel that it need minimum ten big posts to give a clear idea about that. Anyway I will explain few aspects.

Genetic engineering helps institutions or scientists to create plants, animals and micro-organisms by manipulating genes in an artificial way.These genetically modified organisms (GMOs) can spread through nature and interbreed with natural organisms, thereby contaminating naturally occurring animals and plants .

This alteration can create new species whose reproduction, health safety, natural good effects are altered in an unpredictable way. Once the natural environment is contaminated with such modified organisms then this cannot be recalled or rectify back to older condition.

What will happen if a crop is Genetically Modified?

There are some good effects for Genetically Modified like controlling weeds, increasing output etc. But the hidden danger is that these GM crops will be mingled with natural breeds and outcome cannot be determined. Moreover, using such Genetically Modified crops will give a monopoly to seed producing Multinational companies. Farmers will have to pay some money to such companies for using the seeds again. Or most of the times, Genetically Modified crops will not produce seeds that can generate next generations, we say it as “KILLER CROPS”

An Example: Bayer CropScience AG, a subsidiary company of the German chemical giant Bayer AG developed a Genetically Modified rice, – technical name LL62 – has been genetically-engineered to withstand high doses of glufosinate, sprayed on rice fields by farmers to control a wide range of weeds. The weeds will die, the GE rice will survive.

Health Dangers of Genetically Modified crop foods

  • Lack of Safety Testing—Genetically Modified crops produces food that never tested for its long term safety.Toxins and Allergic Reactions or Side effects—Genetically Modified crops are mutated and may create new and higher levels of toxins in foods. This can create some Allergic reactions or even can turn deadly.
  • 37 people died, 1500 were partially paralyzed, and 5000 more were temporarily disabled by a syndrome that was finally linked to tryptophan made by genetically-engineered bacteria.
  • Decreased Nutritional Value—Transgenic foods may mislead consumers with counterfeit freshness. A luscious-looking, bright red genetically engineered tomato could be several weeks old and of little nutritional worth.
  • Presence of Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria—Genetic engineers use antibiotic-resistance genes to mark genetically engineered cells. These genes may be picked up by bacteria which may infect us.

Several reports coming out that this vaccine is a biological weapon, may be using to establish some chronic diseases like Blood Pressure, Diabetes in younger generations.

Capturewe By using Human Genome map, may be such doubts can be true in future, but sure not for now. I have some good reasons behind this belief.

All of us should recollect the number of vaccines we are taking to a new born baby. How many? As per WHO, the following vaccines are now already giving to a child up to his age of 5. Tons of money minting by vaccine manufacturing companies, Isn’t it?

Now they are successful in adding one more vaccine to this list. It’s the H1N1 vaccine. This is the simple reason I argue that this vaccine is not dangerous. If the companies want to make profit for a long term, then they will never release a bad one at the beginning stage of the business. Simple business approach

So let’s make them richer and richest. Whether we will be protected from the so called pandemics or not, of course, that’s a secondary issue, let’s go and take the vaccine tomorrow itself.

We have heard about many types of interactions such as Drug-Drug Interactions, Food-Drug interactions, Herbs-drug Picture1Interactions etc. But Food – Food Interaction is a serious but not much alerted one. Most of these food food interactions are harmless but it is always better to know about some of them.

What is Food-Food interaction.

The unwanted side effects caused inside the human body when two or more types of foods are consumed together. Such reactions can be less important and but on long term, it can be  fatal upon precipitating serious side effects .

Green Tea/Black Tea and Milk

Tea contains flavonoids called catechins, which have many beneficial effects on the heart. When you add milk to tea, then a group of proteins in milk, called caseins, interacted with the tea to reduce the concentration of catechins. So avoid Tea and Milk together.

Milk and Yoghurt Interaction:

As you know consuming both together can precipitate milk inside the stomach that may irritate and induce vomiting. So avoid milk and Yoghurt together.

Chamomile Tea and Garlic

Chamomile contains anticoagulant compounds called coumarins. When combined with Garlic ( that also has anti-clotting properties), they may increase the risk of bleeding . So, better to avoid Chamomile Tea and Garlic together.

Mushrooms and Red yeast rice

Mushrooms are excellent sources of vitamin B3 ( Niacin ) and high Niacin supplements may increase the risk of myopathy if combined with red yeast rice.

Pomegranate juice and grapefruit juice

Pomegranate juice and grapefruit juice, are both known to block the cytochrome P450 3A4 enzyme systems in the intestines and increase blood levels of many medications you are taking. Taking these two juices together may synergize the above action.

Unripe (green) tomatoes/Potatoes and Alcohol

The unripe green tomatoes contain huge amount of solanine which may interact with Alcohol. You may feel more sedation if the intake is more.

GFHRDFB I was shocked when one of my journalist friend show me some facts and figures about H1N1. Before detailing that, I would like to inform all my readers that,..

I didn't mean to reduce the possible risk of this Pandemic, criticize efforts done by WHO in controlling this disease and to hurt any of those manufacturing companies who are saving human life through their molecules.

Dangers behind treatment of H1N1

  • Oseltamivir is a medication that decreases the spread of influenza A and B viruses, the viruses responsible for the "flu” by blocking the action of neuraminidase (neuraminidase helps virus to spread from one cell to another) thereby reducing the spread of influenza.
  • Oseltamivir is normally not recommended for use during pregnancy or nursing, as the effects on the unborn child or nursing infant are unknown.
  • Oseltamivir is not a substitute for the annual flu vaccinations. The use of this drug along with an intranasal flu vaccine has not been evaluated.
  • Oseltamivir causes rare but serious skin reactions and allergic reactions.
  • Before taking Oseltamivir, you should inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing, or if you have kidney disease, heart disease, respiratory disease, or other serious health conditions.
  • People with the flu, particularly children and adolescents, may be at an increased risk of self injury and confusion shortly after taking Oseltamivir and should be closely monitored for signs of unusual behavior

Who is benefiting from  H1N1?

Number 1. Drug Manufacturing Companies who are currently producing Oseltamivir, which is announced as Drug of choice for H1N1 influenza. This list includes multinational pharmaceutical companies like Roche,Ranbaxy etc. Around 4500 billion dollar business is aimed within a span of one year through this pandemic.

Can you just imagine the reason why a manufacturing company denied to issue Oseltamivir to an underdeveloped country absolutely free of charge.

Just think about how some of these companies will solve the financial crisis from Recent Economic recession.

“Tamiflu”, the original Oseltamivir, Sales hit 1bn Swiss francs ($937m; £567m), as Roche said Tamiflu production would be expanded to 400 million packs annually by early 2010.

Number 2. Vaccine manufacturing companies who are currently involved in so-called “Researches”.We believe that H1N1 vaccines will soon be delivered like hot cake and may be manufacturers waiting  for some good market mood to release.      " Baxter”  ready to hit tons??

A trustful report says that one prominent country in Middle east already invested Billion dollar as an advance deposit to one vaccine manufacturing country just as a booking of their Vaccine which is going to release soon.

Some people say don't take the swine flu vaccination because  it is contaminated with squalene and mercury like the 1976 swine flu vaccinations were that killed over 500 Americans.

On April 27, Time magazine published an article that details the 1976 swine flu attack, and all of you may read that for further understandings.

Number 3.  Laboratory Reagent manufacturers who are manufacturing laboratory reagents like culture media, for performing tests and Surgical disposable manufacturers. 

Number 4. Surgical disposable manufacturers who are now producing and marketing N95 masks, other surgical masks, cotton swabs to take samples of Oro-Pharyngeal secretions.

The real business aimed is 320% jump in profit.

Number 5. Alternative therapy specialists which include Homoeopathic, Herbal, Ayurvedic, Unani, Sidha systems of medicines.

Most of these systems don't have a proven clinical success  against H1N1. All systems of treatment or diagnosis including Allopathic, don’t have proven methods to provide immunity against H1N1 until today.

Some claim that intake of Vitamin C, Fennel gives immunity against H1N1 which is absolutely baseless. ( as per my information till today )

Is H1N1 really dangerous?


As per current available information, H1N1 Type A influenza virus is not a dangerous one. I will explain the reasons for this argument.

a. We did a good study about the available statistics of H1N1. When compared to other influenza deaths, H1N1 deaths are very low.

b. Like any other Influenza attacks, this also will spread from one person to other very quickly.But not dangerous . Drinking more water, taking adequate rest, self isolation are very helpful in conquering this virus.

c. Persons with other underlying complications are at a high risk. For example, patients with AIDS, Diabetes, Cirrhosis etc. Chronic smokers, alcoholics and drug addicts are at extreme risk.

d. If the present virus changes its virulence then it is very difficult to predict how the infection pattern will change.

e. The symptoms of 'swine flu' are similar as regular flu and it is easy to call everything 'swine flu' to increase the official numbers

Can we suspect a Global H1N1 Scam?

There are number of reasons in front of us that point towards a scam. First of all, the statistics show that this is a mild attack by a Virus. The wide popularity given by various organizations and media actually triggered a fear in the mind of common people. This lead to uncontrolled use of Oseltamivir, the drug of choice. This pandemonium created by media is being exploited by all other alternative systems of medicine.

When the Vaccine is freely available in market, then we can easily realize who actually created this pandemic and for whom they did all these backstage works.

The consumption of all laboratory reagents, surgical items will increase globally which will lead to sharp increase in the net profit of Multi National Giants.


H1N1 A human engender pandemic ?


We can suspect this attack is a human created one. But not created by any of the extremists in the world. If it is a human created pandemic, then the suspicious pointer turns towards many MNC pharmaceutical companies as they are the real benefiters of any pandemic in this world.

The power of biotechnology is something unimaginable after the success of Genetic Code revealing.Various strains of viruses can easily be generated and can be used as weapons or for creating epidemics. If business is the real matter behind all such actions, then we had to worry about further attacks to human beings in future also.

sss sdd When we think about carbonated water,two names come into our mind, one is Pepsi and the other is Coca Cola. This article doesn't mean to hurt any popular brands or its lovers.I am trying to go to the depth of possible side effects of consuming colored, flavored, bottled,carbonated drinks.

What is the need to analyze the effects of Carbonated Drink?

1. Rising Diabetic cases around the world, where the consumption of such drinks are pretty high.

2. Rising esophageal cancer cases in countries having higher sale of carbonated drinks

3. No valid clinical studies so far done about these brands to find out the extent of its danger.

4. Usually all drugs and medical formulations are undergoing studies to reveal side effects on long term use. Unfortunately, such drinks, even though they are being consumed by millions for a longer period, there are no sincere studies till now.

How Carbonated drinks cause Osteoporosis?

Due to the high acidic nature of such drinks, the stomach usually gets irritated and the presence of calcium will  acts as an antacid to counter its irritation. This Calcium mostly get available from the food that you eat with the drinks. If you are taking drinks without food, i.e. on empty stomach then this Calcium will come from the natural deposits of Calcium in your body; bone, teeth etc. Now think about a prolonged consumption of Carbonated drinks that result in massive reduction of Calcium deposits in bone and there by resulting in Osteoporosis.

How Carbonated drinks cause Cancer ?

You should know that all such carbonated drinks are highly acidic in nature. The pH of water is 7, but these carbonated drinks are mostly in 2 – 3 range. AquaPacificL Now we are living in the age in which everywhere we can find huge demand for water.

“Water Water everywhere, but no water to Drink”

Thinking about water took me to the word, PURE WATER? Which water is 100% pure? Many marketing campaigns about bottled waters try to convince us that water must be "pure" to be good.

Natural water has mineral content and after removing minerals, water becomes acidic and will try to replace some of the  minerals. So consuming natural water after demineralization will be more dangerous as it may dissolve the mineral content in our body.

Good water can be produced by distillation but some gases, and organic compounds will still remain in distilled water.

Rain water is considered as safe and pure, but rainwater collects particles and chemicals when it falls through the atmosphere.

Reverse osmosis is another method to purify water. Unfortunately, some bacteria, and gases still remain in that water.


Generally water is considered as impure if it contains any or all of the following.

A. Microbes

Coliform bacteria are bacteria known to be harmless, but its presence is not recommended in drinking water.

Fecal Coliform and E coli are bacteria that can cause  diarrhoea, cramps, nausea etc.

Cryptosporidium is a parasite that  causes cryptosporidiosis, a mild gastrointestinal disease.

Giardia lamblia is another parasite that gastrointestinal diseases like diarrhea, vomiting, cramps etc

B. Radionuclide

1. Radon Gas – Radon Gas in water is very dangerous and may produce cancer on prolonged use

2. Alpha and Beta/photon emitters - People who consume water containing these radioactive compounds have an increased risk of getting cancer.

3. Combined Radium 226/228 - People who consume water containing these radioactive compounds have an increased risk of getting cancer.

C. Inorganic Contaminants

The presence of inorganic compounds in drinking water also will lead to multiple diseases. Drinking water should be free from Asbestos, Antimony, Barium, Bismuth, Beryllium, Copper, Chromium, Cyanide, Lead, Mercury, Selenium, Thallium etc

Huge quantities of Copper found in Tap water is one of the cause of development of Alzheimer's disease. So elimination of Copper from all waters seem to have one advantage.

D. Poisons and Disinfectants

The presence of poisons and disinfectants such as Chlorine, DDT, BHC, Chloramines, Halo acetic acids, Bromated, Chlorite, MTBE ( fuel additive)  will lead to serious health issues.

E. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

The presence of VOC such as Benzene, Dichloromethane, Toluene, Vinyl Chloride etc or products that contain these substances are  hazardous to health.

Food poisoning can be described as any disease state resulting from the consumption of contaminated food. Here I would like to give a small outline about Food Poisoning. I am sure that my post is not enough in providing all details. Still, i will narrate some details.

Usually there are two types of food poisoning:

A. Food infection

Food infection cause due to the presence of bacteria or any other microbes which infect the body after consumption of food.

B. Food intoxication

Food intoxication refers to the ingestion of toxins contained within the food, including bacterially produced exotoxins.

Food poisoning usually caused by unhygienic habits, improper handling, preparation, and storage of food. Food safety is one of the major issues in current world. World Health Organization gives top priority to implement food safety.

Some tips to remember in Food Poisoning

* Avoid consumption of more food, milk products, caffeine and carbonated products if you feel that you have food poisoning.

* Consume Ginger or Garlic as it detoxifies the intestine

* Eat plain bread, as it soaks the poison to provide relief

* After your meal you can drink a cup of ginger tea which will help to get good digestion. Ginger is very useful in providing relief from heartburn and stomach spasm

* Gentle heat may be applied to the stomach to relieve spasm or backache. This will help to

* Don't consume any food if you feel that it is producing bad odour and colour changes.

* If you have vomiting or diarrhoea, then drink fluids as much you can to combat the loss of fluids.

* If you are constantly vomiting or having continuous diarrhea from food poisoning, you should seek medical care at the earliest.

Today I will describe you about a recipe for making sugar free ice creams. I can see mouth of diabetic patients flooding with water.




Nestle Quik Sugar Free chocolate drink mix------ 1/2 cup

Plain gelatin------------------------------------------ 1.5 tsp
Milk-------------------------------------------------- 500 ml 
Drained yogurt--------------------------------------  1 cup  (the solid half of 2 cups yogurt strained overnight)
Vanilla extract---------------------------------------- 1 tsp
Salt-------------------------------------------------- qs

How to prepare:

Take plain gelatin and soften it in 1/2 cup milk. Heat in a small saucepan until gelatin dissolves.

Then take that from heat cool mixture to room temperature.

Pour that mixture into a blender or food processor. Add remaining milk, Quik, yogurt, vanilla and salt.

Make a smooth mixture. Chill that mixture in the refrigerator  Blend for a few seconds before pouring into the ice cream maker.

Let us not forget to really think about what we spend our money on at the grocery store. Reduce the amount of meat you eat:
You can reduce the meat in your meal by adding beans.
Don’t eat anything you can’t buy yourself:
If you can’t buy the ingredients that go in your food, you shouldn’t eat it. That means, don't let others fill your Menu. Eat for yourselves.
Don’t eat anything with more than five ingredients:
Eating foods closer to their natural state ensures that you get more nutrients.
Avoid food that makes health claims:
Everyone already knows real food is healthy-it’s when packages and pushers have to explain what a food can do for you that you need to be worried.
Don’t eat anything you wouldn’t want to "be": Remember that you are what you eat — do you want to be a fast food burger?
Don’t eat plastic/ junk food:
Focus on real food instead.
Avoid manufactured foods:
Anything prepackaged is probably full of too much sugar, salt, and fat.
Don’t eat any ingredients you can’t pronounce:
If you’re eating food that only a chemist recognizes, something is wrong.
Stay away from food with celebrity endorsements:
Food that needs to be endorsed generally isn’t good to eat.
Eat nothing containing corn syrup:
Food containing corn syrup is generally not nutritious.

What this do to your body.

An article at shows that two molecules isolated from an extract pineapple have shown promise in fighting cancer growth.

One molecule CCS blocks a protein called Ras and the other CCZ, stimulates the immune system so it is more capable at killing cancer cells.

The enzyme in pineapple extract called bromelain that helps break down proteins and is used as a meat tenderizer and in clarifying beer and tanning leather.

You are advised to take this with your food at least 20 grams of PINEAPLLE SAVY per 50 kilograms of your body weight, once a day. This food is not advisable during pregnancy.
Raw Pineapple : 1
Coconut - Half piece
Green capsicum : 3 pieces
Low fat Yoghurt : Half cup
Step 1.
Scrap the coconut and grind it with green chilly capsicum as a paste.
Step 2.

Remove the outer parts of pineapple, take the flesh and cut it into small pieces. Add salt as required and water to dip the pieces. Then boil pineapple for few minutes till it become soft. Let this to cool.

Add half cup Yoghurt and the Paste in Step 1 to the boiled semisolid in Step 2. Stir well. And taste it.
You can reduce the chilly taste by avoiding numbers of capsicum
If you don’t like chilly, then add sugar instead of capsicum and avoid salt in step 2
You may use coloring agents also to make it look good.

Build muscle through a weight training or resistance program Eat small meals regular Eat foods that take longer to digest

Building muscle This is the most important aspect of speeding up your metabolism. The goal is to create a high muscle to fat ratio. This means your body is comprised of significantly more muscle than fat.

Eat small meals regular Overloading your stomach is one of the best ways to put on weight quick. In contrast, eating small amounts regular is a great way to speed up your metabolism and lose weight quick. Therefore, you should try to eat 5-6 small meals per day. You might think, well, isn’t a calorie a calorie no matter what time I eat it. This is traditional thinking and is simplified to the point that it’s plain wrong. You see, calories are used up in the digestion process so the longer you keep your digestion running the more energy you use and weight you lose. This is called the thermic effect of food and leads nicely into point 3.

Eat foods that take longer to digest Foods that take longer to digest and use up more energy in the digestion process have a high thermic effect of food. Eating more foods with a high thermic effect and less food with a low thermic effect will speed up your metabolism and help with weight loss.

Protein burns 25% of the calories consumed in the digestion process and fibre burns a little less. Carbs burn 15% of calories in the digestion process and fat burns hardly any. Therefore, you should consume more fiber and protein, a moderate amount of carbs and virtually no fat, to get maximum effect.

3 relatively simple alterations to your lifestyle and you’ll begin to lose weight quick with very little effort. So In black and white you should:

Constipation is a major problem faced by most of the people in the world.Despite the age, this silent devil troubles all.
Here are some tips to avoid constipation.
Say good bye to Drugs......

Remember that food from animal sources have very less fibre. Try to avoid this in your menu.

Remember that refined foods like maida, pasta, white bread and cakes have less fibre.Try to avoid this in your menu.

Drink 7 or 8 glasses of water per day. It is very important that you should drink more water while taking fiber rich food.

Take a short walk everyday after dinner.

Schedule your toilet time, go to toilet at the same time daily.

Excercise will help to reduce constipation after child birth

Fibre rich vegetables include turnip, lady's finger, radish, beans, cabbage, cucumber, potato, corn, broccoli, peas, carrot, tomato, green pepper, bitter gourd, asparagus, brinjal, beetroot, sprouts, leafy greens, cauliflower, and onion. Include these more in your menu.

Fibre rich cereals include wheat, oats, maize, barley, jowar, bajra,and rice. Include these more in your food.

Fibre rich legumes include kidney beans, chestnuts, black beans, all pulses, black-eyed peas, split peas, peanuts, almonds, sunflower seed, sesame seed, chestnuts, and coconut are rich in fibre.Dont foregt to add some of these in your daily food.

Fibre rich fruits include papaya, peach, kiwi fruit, avocado, guava, apricot, date, gooseberry, fig, mango, orange, pear, bel, apple, jamun, pomegranate and grapes. Let your evenings nourish with these fruits.


Pectin and poly phenols in apples can reduce blood cholesterol levels. They prevent the oxidation of LDL(“bad”) cholesterol and thereby preventing atherosclerosis.
Apples are naturally packed fibres. The natural sweeteners in apples enter the bloodstream and maintaining insulin levels in blood.
Apples boost the production of acetylcholine and thereby increases the transmission of messages between nerve cells. Thus apples keep our brain freshness and increase the sharpness of our memory.
