FISH CURRY-CHILLY SPICY-SIDEDISH

FISH CURRY-CHILLY SPICY-SIDEDISH
Ingredients
Fish - 1 kg
Coconut - 3/4 scrapped portion of full coconut
Red Chillies - 3 numbers
Corriander powder - half teaspoon
Turmeric - half teaspoon
Onions - one medium peice
Garlic - 3 small flakes
Tamarind - 1 small lump
Ghee - little
Salt - As required
Water - As required
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
  1. Take half of the scrapped coconut and extract milk from it
  2. Slice the onion into small pieces
  3. Make a paste of coriander powder , chillies , turmeric powder, half of sliced onion and garlic
  4. Soak the tamarind in water to take the juice
  5. Put half of sliced onion in ghee and keep in flame till it become brown in colour
  6. Add the paste as in Step 3 & the remaining half of the scrapped coconut into Step 5
  7. Fry for 5 minutes on brisk fire .
  8. Add the coconut milk and the fish simmer till fish is tender
  9. Add tamarind juice
  10. Boil once again

Seems like something we are preparing in our territory. Nice to see the same here and think there will be some roots from their or from here to the curry.

it's very yummy, you can also add a little bit of cinnamon. the fish needs to be really firm
